Wow, what a great design. I think the 1930s era fits Cinderella perfectly here. Also, now that I think about, I actually have a bit of a concept in mind.
I imagine that Cindy is a young girl who dreams of becoming a star on Broadway, but faces ridicule by her stepmother and step sisters. The 'prince' could be the male lead in a Broadway musical, and Cindy goes to try out for the show's audition, where she ends up landing the leading lady role.
